Welcome back to me going over the history of the Beatles, that is if anyone is even reading this as so far I haven't gotten any views on these so far as of this writing (January 21, 2020) but this is likely so this sentence will probably be outdated soon. Today we cover on the second member and possibly the most important member in the band's later years: Paul McCartney (if you couldn't read the title).

James Paul McCartney was born on 18 June 1942 in Liverpool to James "Jim" McCartney and Mary McCartney (formerly Mary Patricia and Mary Mohin). One and a half years later, Paul would get a brother by the name of Peter Michael McCartney (born 7 January 1944). While his father was unable to show up to Paul's birth due to participating in the second world war, he didn't have daddy issues or at least not as much as John Lennon and his father Alfred.

McCartney's entrance to music was from a very young age as from the moment he was born the McCartney family was already a musical family, more specifically Jim. Young Paul taught himself how to play piano from learning by ear. He joined the choir at one of his local churches in Liverpool in 1953. In the following year, the first relationship of any of the Beatles were formed when McCartney met a 11 year old George Harrison on the school bus which would start of an amazing friendship for the next 16 years. 1956 would spell tragedy through as Paul's mother Mary died after getting surgery for breast cancer which would leave In 1957, at the age of 14, McCartney would get his first guitar after trading his trumpet he got from his father in the rising popularity of rock and roll. Around this same time McCartney would start writing songs including including one that would be popular a decade later (but that's a story for later).

On 6 July 1957, a 15 year old Paul McCartney would see the Quarrymen perform and would join the band after being invited by the band's leader John Lennon (more information on part one). McCartney and Lennon formed a special bond starting in 1958 as Lennon himself would have to deal with the death of his own mother both sharing a similar tragedy to get through together. After a mediocre performance as the lead guitarist, McCartney suggested his good friend George Harrison. Lennon initially refused to invite Harrison because he thought was too young (14 years old) at the time but gave after McCartney convinced him and Harrison turned 15 and Harrison became the lead guitarist with McCartney being the rhythm guitarist. The Quarrymen went through several changes in 1958 eventually resulting in Lennon, McCartney and Harrison being the only members left in the band.

In 1959, at the Casbah Coffee Club in Liverpool, where the Quarrymen frequently preform during the last year they existed, McCartney would meet a woman by the name of Dot Rhone who would be McCartney's first serious girlfriend as they would be in a relationship for the 2 and a half years. In 1960, the Quarrymen would undergo a name change which Lennon and his art school friend Stuart Sutcliffe who had recently joined as the band's bassist, would come up with the name "the Silver Beetles."

This concludes part three of our history of the Beatles. I apologize if this seems a bit rushed as i'm finishing this up real quick before the midterms. I plan to improve on this soon and add pictures, add and/or change some information but this essentially the basics I need for a post. Tune in for part four as we go back to the 1940's and 50's to see the history of another member of the fab three plus one by the name of George Harrison from 1943 to 1960.
